What time can we arrive at Stony Broke Cottage?

The cottage will be ready from 4pm on the day of arrival.  We politely ask that you vacate by 10am on the day of departure.

How and when do I pay for my booking?

A deposit of £100 is required on booking and the remainder is payable 6 weeks before your arrival.  The deposit is non-refundable, however, see terms and conditions regarding possibility of transferring the deposit to another booking.  Preferred payments are by bank transfer, credit card or cheque.

 Do you accept dogs?

Yes, we accept up to three dogs and have a private, enclosed garden. We also offer a dog walking/sitting service which is pre-bookable only.

 Are children welcome?

Yes, we have beds for 4 guests however we also have a travel cot and high chair available for an extra younger guest if required?

 Is there parking available?

Yes, there is free parking available on site for one car, if you are arriving with another car, arrangements can be made to park nearby.

Are there any facilities available to store our bikes?

Yes, we have storage for bikes but please check availability on booking.

Is there a garden available for use with the cottage?

Yes, there is a secure garden and raised terrace area for your use with garden furniture.

How do we obtain the key on arrival?

There is a key safe on the cottage and the number will be emailed to you the day before arrival.  Please can you return key to the key safe upon your departure?

Do we need to bring our own towels etc?

We provide all linen and bedding for the beds however please bring you own linen if using the travel cot. Bath and hand towels are provided however we ask that they are not taken away from the cottage.  You may want to bring your own beach towels if you plan on visiting the local beaches or coast.

Is there a log burner and what is supplied to use it?

Yes, we have a multi fuel stove and there will be logs and coal available for our guests to use.

Is there WiFi available?

Yes, there is free Wifi available throughout the cottage and the code will be available to you upon arrival.

What if I need a doctor or hospital? Are there any local?

We have a local doctors’ surgery in Danby, a minor injuries unit situated in Guisborough and Whitby, and the large James Cook University Hospital is only 19 miles away in Middlesbrough with an accident and emergency department if needed.  All emergency telephone numbers and addresses will be supplied on arrival.
